The Chinese smartphone company Huawei will not do well in the smartphone market next year. The company has topped the smartphone market this year despite a US trade embargo. But it will be difficult to hold on to their position next year.
According to a report by research firm Digitimes Research, Huawei will drop from the top spot in the smartphone market to seven next year. The main reason for this is the US trade embargo. This will have an impact on Huawei’s smartphone sales.
Next year, the top five smartphone brands will be Samsung, Apple, Apo, Vivo, and Xiaomi, according to a report by Digitimes.
Analysts say that Samsung and Apple will occupy the top two positions next year. The next three brands will be Chinese smartphone makers. Then there will be another Chinese company in the sixth position. The company will do well in Africa and South Asia with affordable handsets from Techno, iTel, and Infinix brands made in China.
Huawei has struggled to get smartphone parts due to US sanctions this year. Even then the organization continues to fight.
Of course, next year could be good news for smartphone makers. Although the smartphone market has shrunk from 2018 to 2020, it will turn around again next year. In 2021, the growth of the smartphone market will reach double digits.
5-G technology will bring growth in the smartphone market next year. The availability of 5G and 4G networks in affordable smartphones will boost smartphone sales in developing countries. By 2023, smartphone sales could reach 1.5 billion units.
According to Digitimes Research, in the next five years, people will start buying 5-G technology smartphones instead of the old ones. Expansion of the 5-G network and its coverage will also increase smartphone sales.
